เมื่อวันที่ 10 มีนาคม 2555 มีการจัดงานตักบาตรที่สะพานใหม่ โดยต้องปิดการจราจรในบางพื้นที่ซึ่งถือเป็นถนนสายเศรษฐกิจ ขนส่งต้องหลีกเลี่ยง 20 สายและทุกอย่างต้องเปิดภายในเวลา 8 โมงเช้า นักสร้างบารมีพันธุ์ฮา
